CORE VALUES

Pursuing God

This is our relationship with God. A disciple begins his/her spiritual journey by searching the Scriptures, seeking God in prayer and trusting Jesus Christ as Savior. This personal relationship with Jesus initiates a lifestyle of obedience and intentional pursuit of His will.

  • Bible teaching

And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers.
    - 1 Thessalonians 2:13

  • Fervent prayer

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. - James 5:16

  • Christ-centered, unifying worship

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. - Acts 2:42-47

LOVING EACH OTHER

Community is central to the walk of any follower of Jesus. It is in community that the Christ-follower learns to love and care for one another. A disciple is called to sacrificially love and serve the family of God through the humble exercising of one’s gifts.

  • Investing in community

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. - Romans 15:5-6

  • Discipling one another

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. - Colossians 1:28

  • Spurring one another onto love and good deeds

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works. - Hebrews 10:24

REACHING BEYOND

Jesus died on a cross for our sins and through Him, we have a new life. That’s good news that should be shared! Sharing the Gospel is at the heart of Liberty Bible Church! God has given Christ-followers the gift of knowing Him personally. In turn, we have the responsibility to sharing our faith with others. A disciple is to live as salt and light.

  • Proclaiming the Gospel

And Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” - Mark 16:15

  • Loving all people

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. - Mark 12:30-31

  • Unleashing the giftedness of God’s people

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. - Romans 12:6-8
