Sr. High National Youth Conference Where: Ohio State University, Columbus, OH When: Registraiton due by March 1, 2010 Monday, June 28th (we'll leave from church in the morning) until Saturday, July 3rd (we'll leave to come home just before midnight on the 2nd) Cost: $425 (cover meals, lodging, transportation, and the conference) $200 (additional is required if you participate in the bike trip) DOWNLOAD YOUR FORMS HERE

How will you get there? You have a choice - either take the vans and busses provided or you can bike the whole way there. If you are planning on biking, please tell Pastor Kevin when you register.

Biking to Nationals Information
Requirements for participation:
· Approximate cost: $200/student includes meals, snacks, and camping along the way. Preliminary commitment required by email by March 1 (for camping reservations). Pay in full by Sun. June 20.
· Limited to Sr. High Students only (Freshmen through outgoing Seniors)
· Parental release and emergency phone numbers of parents required.
· Must successfully complete two of three preliminary bike hikes prior to event in early/mid-May, 2010-no exceptions:
1-Chesterton to Wicker Park ( Highland) and back– approx. 50 mi
2– Head into Michigan– approx. 75 mi
· Bike helmets required at all times on roadways, regardless of temperature.
· Limited to 5 students/adult: currently will be lead by John/Laurel Van Proyen and Ken/Miriam Christensen
· Limited to one sm/med duffel bag with toiletries for trip, swim gear, tent, sleeping bag, bike lock, sling chair. Students responsible for put-up and take-down of own tents, and gear. Gear will be kept in vehicles driven by Mrs. Van Proyen and Mrs. Christensen.
· Multi-speed road bike must be in good working condition; oiled, lubed, etc, and pass approval inspection. No trail bikes.
· Discussion required between parents and sponsors prior to acceptance of students with medical/medicine needs.
· Absolutely NO horseplay while riding, ALWAYS in single file on roadways. Will ride in groups of 5-6 with groups spaced about 1/3rd a mile apart. Will ride RAIN OR SHINE.
· Bike group will expect to arrive on Monday, June 28th in Columbus area.
· Bikes will be returned to church for parental pick-up on Mon. June 28. Teens will return with other students on bus on July 3.
