Outreach 1.8 is a challenge to move you to witness to your “Jerusalem” - your neighborhood, your “Judea
and Samaria” - your community and to the ends of the earth.

Jesus says “ You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts. 1.8

But how do we, in our lives right now, make that happen?

We challenge you to try them!

If what we list just doesn’t “work” for you, use it as a springboard to a different idea! But make an effort to reach out to one person in each category, each month.

Outreach 1.8 – May Challenges

Neighborhood:
Treat Month – Have some extra cookies? Maybe a pan of brownies? Walk a treat over to your neighbor’s house! Not a baker? A plant would work, or something else for the yard. But don’t just drop it off! Spend a few minutes in conversation…

Community:
Child Evangelism Fellowships expanding into more county fairs this year, and they are going to need lots of Wordless bracelets, keyrings, or zipper pulls. Want to buy supplies? Leave them at the table in the Hall of Nations.

Materials:
·15-17” pieces of leather or hemp lacing
·Ponybeads
oGold/yellow, black, red, white, green, clear
·Key rings or zipper pulls.
Want to make bracelets? Stop at the table in the Hall of Nations and pick up supplies.

Not crafty? Here are other ways to help:
·Host a Five Day Club this summer. You provide the kids and a snack, and a CEF missionary will provide games, activities, and
the message of salvation!
·Teens – be a CEF summer missionary! After training, you can run those Five Day Clubs!
·Paint faces at the fair!

“Destino is a contextualized ministry to Latino college students.  My teammates launched this new ministry on Auraria (3 college campuses combined in downtown Denver) last September, and I joined them in January.  We desire to connect students to God and healthy community, build them up in their faith and help them grow in wholeness, and empower them to reach their campus, community, and world for Christ.”

Katie’s Prayer Requests
·For Adrian, Ayleen, Phoenix, and Lilia to have permission from parents/work and financial support in order to attend Destino US/international summer projects
·For logistics regarding moving to another location in the Denver Metro area in the next couple weeks
·That my team would grow in loving each other well and spurring one another on to walk in obedience to the Lord Brad and Michelle Harry

“The mission of Here’s Life Inner City is to serve and mobilize the church to live out God’s heart for the poor, so all can grow in Christ to build spiritual movements everywhere. We partner with 140 churches and ministries, providing training and resources to help them share the gospel in word and deed to those in need. In the south-side Roseland neighborhood of Chicago we’ve been providing holistic, Christian programing for youth and adults at the Agape Community Center since 1979.”

Brad and Michelle’s Prayer Requests:
·We will run a four-week Summer Day Camp for 100 children in Roseland beginning June 18th. Pray that God will work through our volunteer groups to share the gospel with our kids and that many will believe in Jesus.

·Our high school basketball team will participate in a Christian summer league called the Miracle League. We are also challenging them to run an evangelistic basketball clinic for younger kids in our community. Pray our teens choose to genuinely and seriously follow Jesus as a result.
