Liberty Bible Church

FOCUS

Young people are our present and our future, and it is imperative for us to invest in them.

In recent years, Liberty Bible Church has also made a significant commitment to facility expansion and outreach. As the new Community Center makes more programs and events possible, more seekers and current members are able to participate in Liberty’s worship, programs and events.

The participation of children, youth and young adults is crucially important to our expansion and outreach. For this reason, Liberty Bible Church begins a campaign to raise $1.3 million.

Funding will be used to upgrade space and classrooms for children’s and young adult ministries, make necessary repairs to our core facilities, expand presentation technologies and equipment to support Sacred Ground, and improve communications and media to our local community.

It will also be used to reduce debt associated with our previous major building project, ensuring Liberty’s continued stability and ability to offer innovative programs and services into the future.

FOCUS ON OUR FUTURE: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q. Of the funds raised, how will the money be spent?
A. We expect to raise $1.3 million of which $750,000 will be spent to reduce our mortgage debt and $550,000 will be spent to expand our ministries. Of the $550,000 dedicated to expanded ministry, it will be generally prioritized between 4 key projects:
1.    Expanded Children’s and Youth Ministries               $318,000
2.    Enhanced Sacred Ground ministry                          $60,000
3.    Improved Communications                                    $50,000
4.    Core Facility Upgrades                                          $85,000

Q. How will the money be spent in expanding Children’s and Youth Ministries?
A. Children’s and Youth Ministries will expand primarily through enhanced and upgraded facilities. For the Children’s Ministry, plans are to modify selected classrooms to make them more “child friendly” with bright colors and murals of various themes.  The ministry will also expand by partnering with Spring Hill Camps to bring summer day-camps to Liberty. We are also planning on adding playground equipment outdoors. The Jr. and Sr. High ministries will benefit by enhancing their areas with air conditioning, carpet, paint, better lighting, and the addition of technology.

Q. Will we borrow money to fund these projects?
A. No. We are collecting pledges starting now through 1/31/08.  At that time we will determine how to best distribute the funds. If we have pledges that surpass the $1.3 million goal, we will put more money against retiring our mortgage debt. If pledges are below the $1.3 million goal, we will scale back the projects maintaining our 60%/40% split between mortgage reduction and ministry expansion.

Q. Can I designate my pledge to a particular program?
A. Yes. While we suggest that you make your pledge to the general campaign, you can designate your funds to any part of the four key projects listed above. If a particular project is oversubscribed, the money will rollover to the general campaign fund.

Q. When does the campaign start and end?
A. The campaign begins immediately.  By now everyone should have received in the mail a brochure, DVD, and a campaign pledge card. If you haven’t, please contact the church office. We would like all the pledges in by 1/31/08. You can use the envelope provided and send the completed pledge card through the mail, drop it off at the office, or place it in the offering plate. Contributions to the campaign also begin effective immediately. In fact, this campaign would be an excellent opportunity to make your year-end contribution. The campaign officially ends 12/31/09. This is when we would like all pledges fulfilled.

FOCUSED ON OUR FUTURE CAMPAIGN

We value our children and youth
Children are held in the embrace of this church. Each week, staff and volunteers educate more than 500 children, from newborns to senior high, who come through our doors for Bible classes, prayer and worship, retreats, and fellowship grounding them in the Christian faith.

This campaign supports continued excellence in our Children’s and Youth Ministries, funding new and expanded programs, and much needed space enhancements.

We create new options for worship
Today, the spiritual needs of young men and women aged 18-30 have been unmet by many churches. Research shows that in this age group, many people leave the church, never to return. Liberty Bible Church is not letting that happen. Sacred Ground is reaching out to this age group with a vibrant, new way of worship, grounded in Scripture.

This campaign supports new presentation equipment and technology for enhanced worship.

We connect with our community and the world
So many good things happen at Liberty Bible Church. Every week, Liberty offers opportunities to grow in understanding and faith for children, teens and adults, both members and people who are searching.

Campaign funding will help improve our website and promotion of community events and programs with greater quality, consistency and effectiveness.

CHILDREN'S AND YOUTH MINISTRIES
Upgrade space and classrooms.

SACRED GROUND
The campaign will fund improved video technology for live production.

CORE FACILITY REPAIRS AND UPGRADES

COMMUNICATIONS
Improve communications including our website and promotion of community events and programs with greater quality, consistency and effectiveness.

DEBT REDUCTION
This campaign will provide $750,000.00 for reducing the current debt and provide $550,000.00 toward ministry enhancements.

Please consider supporting our youth and young adults in addition to your regular tithe.
